Intro- Trevor Host

My name is Trevor, and I am a freshman. I am majoring in Education. I graduated from Claymont High School last year. One of my favorite things about writing is that I can easily express my opinion in ways that I normally can't. The main thing that I dislike about writing is feeling that I don't express my ideas in the way I intended to. I also struggle with the beginning of a paper, but once I get started it's very easy to write about everything I want and need to.
My name is Olivia and I am a CCP student. This will be my second semester at Kent since starting the college credit plus program. I am a junior at Claymont High School. I have lived in the Dennison area my entire life. I grew up loving to write. So naturally, it is something I enjoy and do often. My favorite thing about writing is being able to express myself through words I otherwise, can never find the right ones to say. However, I do worry that my point does not always go across as I intend it to. I do not want people to get the wrong idea in what I am trying to say. To me, that is what I struggle with the most in writing.

Introduction - Jessica Beal

Hey y'all!

My name is Jessica Beal, This is my second year of college, I am a sophomore who is a criminology and justice studies major! I want to one day be a cop! I live in Dover, Ohio! My favorite thing about writing is whenever you get to write about whatever you want! It's a lot easier for me to write whenever I have a favorable topic. My least favorite thing about writing is whenever you get told what to write about, It could be boring or you could just not know anything about that topic!

Introduction

My name is Ashley and I am a Criminal and Justice Studies major. I have lived in the New Philadelphia area since I was 11 years old. I have 3 children and two of them are twins. My favorite thing about writing is being able to make up or tell a story. My least favorite thing about writing is all of the technical components.

Bella's About Me

Hi, my name is Isabella but I go by Bella. Originally I am from southern Ohio. Currently, I'm a CCP student and do not have a major but am interested in majoring in chemistry. An interesting fact about me is that I've been to eight schools and am a avid snapchatter. My favorite thing about writing is that it can be used as a learning tool; what I don't like is all the rules and guidelines writing papers comes with.

Harlie

Hello, I'm Harlie. This is my second semester as a freshman. I am a Criminal Justices major. I took this class to continue on with developing better writing skills.

My name is Ally. This is my second semester at Kent-Tuscarawas. I was originally a nursing major, but then I decided to switch to Early Childhood Education. I'm from Akron, which is an hour drive away from the campus. The thing I like most about writing is being able to tell stories. The least favorite thing I like about writing is when I get a topic to write about that I don't understand or can't relate to.

Cory Trimble - Introduction

Hi there.  My name's Cory Trimble.  I'm 29, and an Electrical Engineering major.  I currently have my associate's degree and am working toward my bachelor's degree.  I have a lot of hobbies, with very few that I actually have the time (or energy) to pursue.  I'm a musician (drums and guitar) and a marksman, and I dabble in martial arts.  I tend to have a self-defeatist attitude about some things at times because I assume not doing it well the first time simply means that I'm not a natural.  I like to work out, but it's just so much easier to be fat-skinny.  I also like gaming a lot, but I have a strong distaste for the mainstream trends in recent years as far as that's concerned.  I own a green Ninja 500 motorcycle that I love to ride throughout the summer months.  I do like to write, but the problem with writing is that it has to have a purpose.  Very little of what I write (or could potentially write) would ever be relevant to anyone but myself unless you really knew me.

On that note, I can type around 127 words per minute when I'm focused so I'm hoping that helps me along in my writing assignments.  I can present my thoughts more clearly while typing them out, also.  I really should write a book of some sort but I'm just too lazy to put that much effort into something that possibly no one would take interest in.

The last thing to point out is that I'm notoriously antisocial when it comes to groups.  I'm a one-on-one kind of person and I'm more or less crippled when it comes to speaking to a large group unless I'm really used to being around them.  If I'm not well acquainted with a class or I'm not used to being around it, you can guarantee that I'll pull a Copperfield and be gone in an instant anytime I'm asked to speak in front of a group but I honestly can't help it.  I just might be afraid of public speaking more than I am of anything else, and yes, that includes heights.  You could even call it my phobia.  Anyway, that's me and it's nice to meet you all.

Erika's Introduction

My name's Erika and I'm from Carrollton, which is about 30 minutes east of New Phili. My major is Middle Childhood Education with a focus in Mathematics and Language Arts. I hope to also, one day, get my licensure in ASL Interpretation. I chose Kent Tusc because I already knew the area and it was cheaper than going to Kent Main, even though I'll be transferring in a couple years to participate in the extended study program. My favorite thing about writing has to be the freedom that I get to speak my mind. On the other hand, my least favorite is anytime I get writer's block or when I have an idea on what I want to say but, have no clue how to phrase it on paper. To me that's the most frustrating thing about writing.

Introduction

I am Logan and I do not have a major in anything yet because I am a CCP student. My favorite thing about writing is that is its very easy to perform on a physical technicality. My least favorite thing about writing is that your hands hurt when you are writing for a long time.

My name is Rylie. I am a CCP student and I go to Dover High School. I currently do not have a major, although I am leaning towards nursing. My favorite thing about writing is the freedom you have to express yourself. My least favorite thing about writing is when you don't relate or have interest in the topic.

Introduction Post

I'm Sam and I am a communication major. I like how writing gives me a way to express myself that I'm sometimes not able to do verbally. I don't like having to handwrite my thoughts, because I am able to type as fast as my brain works, but I'm unable to write that fast.

Introduction

This is my first year attending college as a CCP student. My future hope is to major in either english education or psychology. My favorite thing about writing is the voice it gives me, and my least favorite thing is experiencing writer's block.

My major is business management. My favorite thing about writing is getting to tell about my life. However, I hate reading my life stories in front of others.

I am married with three children. I love to garden and cook. I mostly grow cabbage and spinach in the winter. I am not sure which major I want to pursue yet. I hope I will choose a major by this summer. Writing is very difficult for me. It took me about 30 minutes just to write this. I like to write by hand the best.

Introduction

I'm currently a CCP student, but my major next year will be history and I'm thinking about minoring in Anthropology. My main focus in history will most-likely be World War II. I enjoy singing, writing and sketching. What I like about writing is citations and being able to express my opinions, as well as others. What I don't like about writing is that sometimes I feel as if I'm very limited with certain topics.

Introduction

Welcome to our course blog! This will be a space in which we respond to readings and class discussions. It will allow you (as students) to practice the conventions of digital writing, while also providing a wider audience for our thinking about the traditions and situations that matter to us and our communities.

For your introductory post, tell us where you're from, why you're attending KST, and what you'd like to do in the future.
