Cory Trimble - Introduction

Hi there.  My name's Cory Trimble.  I'm 29, and an Electrical Engineering major.  I currently have my associate's degree and am working toward my bachelor's degree.  I have a lot of hobbies, with very few that I actually have the time (or energy) to pursue.  I'm a musician (drums and guitar) and a marksman, and I dabble in martial arts.  I tend to have a self-defeatist attitude about some things at times because I assume not doing it well the first time simply means that I'm not a natural.  I like to work out, but it's just so much easier to be fat-skinny.  I also like gaming a lot, but I have a strong distaste for the mainstream trends in recent years as far as that's concerned.  I own a green Ninja 500 motorcycle that I love to ride throughout the summer months.  I do like to write, but the problem with writing is that it has to have a purpose.  Very little of what I write (or could potentially write) would ever be relevant to anyone but myself unless you really knew me.

On that note, I can type around 127 words per minute when I'm focused so I'm hoping that helps me along in my writing assignments.  I can present my thoughts more clearly while typing them out, also.  I really should write a book of some sort but I'm just too lazy to put that much effort into something that possibly no one would take interest in.

The last thing to point out is that I'm notoriously antisocial when it comes to groups.  I'm a one-on-one kind of person and I'm more or less crippled when it comes to speaking to a large group unless I'm really used to being around them.  If I'm not well acquainted with a class or I'm not used to being around it, you can guarantee that I'll pull a Copperfield and be gone in an instant anytime I'm asked to speak in front of a group but I honestly can't help it.  I just might be afraid of public speaking more than I am of anything else, and yes, that includes heights.  You could even call it my phobia.  Anyway, that's me and it's nice to meet you all.
