Blazin’ Burgers

Blazin’ Burgers is a locally owned burger restaurant with locations in both Dover and Strasburg, Ohio. Most employees are hesitant to tell you they have the best burgers in town because they were voted the best burger by Times Reporter Readers, not just once but six years in a row. Both locations have a fifties theme going with checkered floors, a working jukebox and posters of things from the past. The Dover location focuses more on past sports teams. The bar top is covered with player cards and past newspaper clippings of the Cleveland sports teams wins throughout history. Whereas the Strasburg location seems to turn the focus to past movie actress, Marilyn Monroe, and past musician, Elvis Presley. There are many posters on the walls of both as well as some restaurant puns about mountain dews and burger condiments. Both locations stress that their food is not categorized as “fast food”. As a server there, I can tell you we get the food to the customers as quickly as possible, but we believe the quality is more important.
Most people enjoy the Blazin’ Burger’s lively atmosphere. Both restaurant locations are staffed with friendly people that make the entire experience a pleasure. Blazin’ Burgers’ believes in large portions and offer a food challenge for customers that can really eat. Their challenge is to eat a triple burger (one pound of burger), a large order of fries, and a milkshake that is around twenty ounces; and you have to eat it in ten minutes or less.

When it comes to contributing to the community, Blazin’ Burgers provides gift cards for local raffles. They also have a promotion with the Dover High School football team. The promotion is that if you buy a discount card from the team, you can use that card all year to get a large french fry for the price of a small. A good deal in my opinion because the fries are the best, since I’m not a burger person. Blazin’ Burgers also has seasonal specials. Right now, with Lenten going on, they offer a fish sandwich for those who can’t eat beef during this time. Sometimes, around Thanksgiving, they serve a turkey burger to show their festive side.
