The Daily Grind Cafe

A coffee shop: you may go there first purely for coffee, or food, or some tasty drinks, but after a while, this place become very special. It becomes a community that can always brighten your world. There is a place called The Daily Grind in New Philadelphia, and the local people make it a valuable community.

The Daily Grind Café is a wonderful, locally owned business located in the center of New Philadelphia. The location is very convenient for people who working in the downtown area because of its centralized location. The café originally opened in 1995, but it used to be Miller’s Bakery, and Aberth’s Bakery before Miller's. The shop still looks like how it was in those days.

Daily Grind is not luxurious, but very simple. It has large glass windows in the front of the shop, and unfinished walls inside where you can see the original brick. One of the walls is painted red and black, the color of the New Philadelphia High School. The décor is warm and charring. I like to sit near the window and feel the nature light, and this is a good spot to watch the town move on a daily basis. Sometimes, I choose to sit against the wall and enjoy the noisy atmosphere. It also has a long coach where you can feel like you're sitting in your own living room. Daily Grind has a very special atmosphere that you cannot find anywhere else.

Daily Grind is a fantastic place to hang out with friends, or just take a break from your hectic, everyday life. The customers stop by this coffee shop because it’s local, convenient, and social as well as the quality foods. You can see many different people here, and most are familiar faces because they are from the local area. Many people choose to meet with friends here. They typically grab a sandwich and a cup of coffee and talk to friends for an hour or two. Some people just find a quiet corner to read a book. Students can come here and study, as this is an extremely productive environment. Bible study group often meet here because it's convenient and comfortable.

Heading to Daily Grind cafe is the perfect way to socialize. A local coffee shop is a place you can looking for something, anything to hold onto. People return to local coffee shop frequently. Here, strangers become familiar. The coffee shop culture can encourage community and connection. I feel lucky to have Daily Grind café in our community because it’s a peaceful and loving place. Daily Grind cafe is a bridge connecting our local community.
