The Daily Grind has a very cool atmosphere inside. They have music playing in the background and there is white lights streaming across the room. They use chalk boards to list what food and drink items they have, along with the prices. If you get a drink and you are staying there, they will give it to you in an actual glazed ceramic coffee cup instead of a paper coffee cup. However, they do give you paper cups if you are on the go. Hanging on the walls, they have old, vintage signs hanging up. The environment just makes you feel like you are at home.
It's not just a coffee shop. They also have tables and couches throughout the place. They have couches near the back where it's dim and quiet. Up by the front, there is light that's great for studying. It's not set up like Starbucks where they want you to get in and out. You are able to lounge around and you can enjoy your coffee and food. Sometimes they have poet readings there also.
Marcia Trouts, a KSU student, adds "I really enjoy going here. The coffee is amazing and the vibe inside is so comfortable. My kids enjoy coming here also, and they especially enjoy their hot chocolate. It's a nice place to get away from everyday chaos." This place contributes a lot to the community. It brings them a sense of another home environment, a place to get away from work, school, or home, and a place you can enjoy a great cup of coffee!
