Roscoe Village is the epitome of local history for Coshocton.
Roscoe shows us a view into the past that you wouldn’t get anywhere near Coshocton.
Roscoe preserves the old way of doing things such as blacksmithery and
craftsmen shops with their own loom. It is my honor to be friends with a modern-day
blacksmith that was trained in Roscoe’s still functioning blacksmithery.
“Roscoe Village has preserved 202 years of history as
a small community of hardworking people through generations of people like
myself, and because of the efforts of these people Roscoe is a monument to a
life left in the dust by technology. It is my pride and pleasure to present the
art/trade of blacksmithing to audiences who never would've known of it
otherwise." --- Thomas Stonebraker 10:51 2/13/18.

Roscoe also has a functional Canal Boat that is pulled
by horse power (literally) and a history museum where local history is even
further preserved.
The Historic Roscoe Village is a homage to the past that
would otherwise go overlooked and forgotten until it eventually faded from our
minds. Luckily Individuals like Edward Montgomery have put their money into
preserving the historical importance of places like this.
